Relayte is a personal storytelling and memory journaling app. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and your rights regarding that data.

1. What Data We Collect

• Your email and username when you register
• Any stories, tags, and metadata (date, place, people) you voluntarily submit
• Basic technical data (such as login session cookies, which are used only to keep you logged in)

2. Why We Collect Your Data

We collect data to provide core app functionality — saving and retrieving your stories, and enabling search and filters. We do not use your data for advertising or sell it to third parties.

3. Your Rights

• You can view, edit, and delete any story you’ve submitted
• You can request that your account and all related data be permanently deleted
• You can withdraw your consent at any time

4. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely in a PostgreSQL database hosted by a trusted platform (e.g. Render). Only you can view your stories when logged in.

We retain your stories and account information for as long as your account remains active. When you delete your account, all associated data is permanently deleted.
